Gus G Perdikakis
CEO & President
Gus is the CEO & President of Gus Perdikakis Associates Inc (GPA) headquartered in Cincinnati. Gus has over 50 years of experience in the engineering solutions and professional staffing services industry. Jo Ann and Gus founded GPA in 1979 with a staff of 3 and 42 years later, GPA has grown to over 350 employees. GPA’s most valuable assets are our assigned employees and prospective quality technical and human resources. This is the foundation that GPA was built on and this foundation remains today.
Gus earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and is an active alumni and supporter of UCATS. He served as National President of the American Staffing Association (ASA) formerly National Technical Services Association (NTSA) and was one of only two individuals to serve as National President of NTSA for two terms. He also hosted a business radio program “Gus Perdikakis On Line” on WING radio in Dayton, Ohio from 1995–2000.
Gus is a lifelong member of the Greek Orthodox Church and served as a member of the Archdiocese Council of North and South America. He was elected to an unprecedented six-terms as president of Holy Trinity St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, his most recent term concluding in 2010. The highest lay award of the church is called “Archon” and Gus was recognized by the church’s Ecumenical Patriarch in Istanbul, Turkey with this distinction in 1982. Over the last 40 years, he’s been a past member of the Metropolis of Detroit Diocese Council and is currently a member of the board of trustees of Hellenic College-Holy Cross School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts and Leadership 100.
Gus is a founding board member of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center as well as a former committee chair on the Smale Commission of the City of Cincinnati. Individual awards presented to Gus have included NTSA Industry Leadership Award recognizing Lifetime Achievement and Cincinnati Business Courier’s “Executive of the Year" award.
Gus was born in Cincinnati to Greek immigrant parents and has lived in Cincinnati his entire life. The most valuable lessons his parents bestowed on him were the love of family, the devotion to faith and the spirit of entrepreneurship. He’s embraced each of these. Above and beyond, his greatest achievement in life is his 50-year marriage to his wife Jo Ann and the family they created together. Jo Ann has served as his partner in life and partner in business as Treasurer of GPA since its inception. They have three children including Lynn, Mandie and George and three grandsons, Gus Constantine, William Milo and Henry Apollo.
